Our Story
Tenacity Hemp Growers Inc.
Our story begins on a small family owned and operated farm in South Louisiana about 20 miles west of Baton Rouge. In the spring of 2020, we decided to take a huge leap of faith endeavoring into the Industrial Hemp Industry.
The 2018 Farm Bill that legalized hemp in all 50 states opened new and exciting potential for agriculture in Louisiana. For us, the learning curve was steep and continual but attainable. There was a lot to learn about the hemp plant itself as well as the evolutionary nature of the Industrial Hemp Industry on a whole. With the help of God, family, friends, local farmers and horticulturalists we were able to successfully plant, grow, and harvest about 4 of the 5 acres we planted. As first time Hemp Growers we knew there would be many challenges and unanticipated obstacles to endure during the season. One major obstacle we had to navigate through was the Coronavirus Pandemic. Along with the uncertainties surrounding the pandemic, Mother Nature let us feel her unwavering presence showering us with several named hurricanes, then a barrage of microscopic pest, and plant devouring insects. In the end “through it all our girls stood tall.”
